PROJECTS
H.U.B. Consolidation Station
The H.U.B. was a late addition to the project, but don't be fooled the H.U.B. plays an integral part in supporting the not only the V.A.S.T. project but the clients as well. The clients benefit is that the H.U.B. enables quick and seamless transfers of the hashed captures for further analysis by their investigators. From the beginning, we wanted the whole V.A.S.T. project to require little to no training to use, and once again we have far surpassed expectations.
VDA-1 Collection Device
This tool is the heartbeat of the V.A.S.T. project. We started by building a fun and easy to use tool that could be deployed in under 30 second. We far surpassed that with the VDA-1 Tool. We cut our target recovery time down to under 15 seconds, we developed a H.U.B. that stores ands resets the tool for us and we have identified several more markets that this tool will work for.
Physical Design of VDA-1
During the development of the VDA-1 tool, we took into account the many different scenarios we wanted this tool to be deployed. Most of us being Veterans, we wanted the tool to be capable of serving a tour or two in combat zones helping our battlefield forensic investigators and to serve within the ranks of the Police departments. With those parameters in mind, we ensured that the handles design was correct for use with gloves, that the size and and function of the tool took as little interaction as possible and lastly that is was large enough to compensate for the loss of fine motor skill when a Marine or Police officer is under duress.
